Post-Service Prayer: Prayer teams are available to pray with you after every morning service.

Family Prayer Group: Pray with others for your loved ones and family members every Thursday morning from 7:00-8:00 am in the Chapel.

Prayers for Advent: A prayer guide for each Sunday of Advent is in your mailbox this morning to focus us in prayer over these next weeks as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Christ's birth. Let's join together in reflecting on our FAITH and the HOPE, LOVE, JOY and PEACE that is ours in Jesus as we invite Him to go deeper! Christmas New Years Worship Schedule:

· Saturday, December 24th — 6:00 PM Christmas Eve Service

· Sundays December 25th and January 1st – 10:00 am as usual.

· There will be no New Years Eve service.

Year End Giving: We are asking the congregation to prayerfully consider how you have been blessed financially this year and to give as you are able to help us finish the year in good shape. Donations must be received by Dec. 31th to be eligible for a tax receipt for 2022.

Friendly Reminder: Please be mindful that all nuts are BANNED in the building. Some of our members have severe allergies. Thank-you.

Congratulations! To Adriana & Colten Lasher on the arrival of their baby girl, Hannah Michele Lasher on Sunday December 4th..

Meal train: Hannah Lasher arrived on Sun, Dec. 4th. Parents,   appreciate some delivered meals during a couple of the weeks that Adriana is gaining back her strength and the family is settling into a new normal. A meal train has been set up for them. Lost & Found: If you or someone you know has lost an item here at the church recently or in the past couple months, please take some time to check out the Lost & Found bin, now located at the Info Desk. All items not claimed will go to The Belleville Thrift Store.

Out of Egypt into a Good Land: Join Under the Fig Tree Ministries teacher Rev. George DeJong on a 2-week trip from Nov. 9th - 22nd, 2023 to Egypt and Israel to experience the lands of the Bible. Pastor George is a gifted teacher with a pastor’s heart – a real shepherd! – who led the Canadian pastors on similar trips. This tour is designed as a “Bus/Walker Tour” for those whose mobility and stamina is a concern. This is a great trip for seniors and their children. Unfortunately, wheelchairs and scooters cannot be accommodated for this trip. Contact Pastor Richard Bodini at Pastor.Bodini@HCH.ca for more information. There is room for 45 people. An information session in person and remote access is being planned for January, 2023.

Christmas Children’s Choir: We are looking for kids aged 8-12 who are interested in singing on stage as a group for our Christmas Eve Service. If your child(ren) is/are interested, please contact Adam adam@maranatha-church.com.

Christmas Gift Cards: Every year Benevolence helps many who are struggling financially by giving them grocery gift cards for Christmas. They are from our church community and those who are referred to us through a connection in the church. If you would like to help by donating to this cause, please fill out the bulletin insert. Cheques should be made out to Maranatha but marked as benevolence gift cards. Forms must be filled and returned by Sunday, Dec. 25th.

Women’s Life Celebration! Ladies, please join us this Wed. morning, Dec. 14th, from 9:30-11:30am in the chapel for Christmas treats, fellowship and fun before we break for the holidays! Invite a friend!

The Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre is excited to share a Matching Gift Campaign. The campaign will run until Friday, Dec. 30th. Every donation up to $10, 000 will be doubled. The funds raised will go towards supporting all the programs and services at the Centre. You can donate online at bpfcc.ca, send an e-transfer, or by mailing a donation to 200 Dundas St., E, Belleville, ON K8N 1E3. Thank you for your support!

Job Opportunity: The Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre is accepting applications for the position of Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This is a part-time position for 2 days a week equaling 14hrs a week. This position could include some remote work. Responsibilities include website maintenance, posting on social media platforms, creating promotional and marketing material, engaging with online users, and some client care. Experience with social media and email marketing is preferred. Applicants should have a working knowledge of the following programs: Canva, Photoshop, and MailChimp. Applications will be received until this Thurs, Dec. 15th. Interested applicants are encouraged to send their resumes and cover letter to Heather Tapp, Executive Director at director@bpfcc.ca.

Christmas Cantata: Touched by a Child, Touched by a King. Join our community choir for Christmas music and joy on Sun, Dec. 18th @ 7pm at the Frankford Christian Reformed Church, 149 King Drive. All donations & collections will be to support the Frankford Food Pantry.

The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign:  Every Christmas The Salvation Army places their kettle bells around the community to help raise funds to support their local ministries. Until Sat, Dec. 24th, there will be 15 Christmas Kettles in 13 different locations - all of which will need volunteers. Volunteer shifts are 2 hours each - volunteers stand (or sit) near the Christmas Kettle, greet those passing by, thank donors and wish everyone a Merry Christmas! If you would like to volunteer, call or text Amanda Robinson at (613) 243-6447.

Room & Board: A Christian woman, and a member of the Maranatha community, is facing difficult financial times and is looking for a Christian home in which to board. She would be a quiet and respectful guest. She can afford to pay $525 per month. Junior High: Don't forget that our Christmas Party is happening this week! Bring a $10 gift and wear an ugly sweater or Christmas themed colours. Bring a friend! There will be games, a short lesson, a gift exchange, food and so much more! Can't wait to see you all!

Senior High: Friday Night Lights is coming! It's time to dig out your ugly Christmas sweater and plan for a full evening of games, dinner, worship and fun on December 16th from 6:00 to 9:30pm. We're looking forward to hosting youth groups from all over the Quinte area! Cost is $5. This will be our last youth night until the new year. See you there!

Like cooking or baking? Sr. High is hosting dinner and an ugly Christmas sweater party for other area youth groups on Dec. 16th. We hope to have 100-150 youth for an evening of food, games, worship and socializing. We need your help! Are you able to make a crock pot full of soup or chili? Or prepare a dessert? Young Adults: This Tuesday is our Christmas party! Bring $15 to cover the cost of an amazing Christmas meal, and come dressed in semi-formal attire...or your favourite ugly Christmas sweater! Doors open at 6pm and we'll be meeting in the chapel. If you have any questions, or would like to sign up, please reach out to Camille.

Maranatha Christmas Carol Sing: The Maranatha Seniors are pleased to invite the congregation to a Christmas Carol Sing-along in the Chapel @ 2pm on Sat, Dec. 17th. Roberta has put together a wonderful program for us. There will be a collection for Gleaner’s Food Bank. Enjoy coffee and goodies in the Fellowship Hall afterwards.
