Thank You! New Life Women’s Home would like to thank the congregation of Maranatha for their recent donation. We are grateful for your faithful support, prayers and encouragement. With the main lodge closed in and the heat on, the drywalling is well underway. Thank you to all those who have been a part of this kingdom project. Junior High: Welcome back everyone! This week we are kicking things off with a Nerf night! Bring your nerf guns and make sure all items are labeled or initialed so things don't get mixed up! This includes nerf bullets. See you all there!
Senior High: We hope you had a great Christmas! Come on out this Friday as we start the new year. Join us for some games, food, music, and teaching this Friday at the church from 7-9pm. Also, we have an upcoming fundraiser on Feb. 17th, so mark you calendars. We will be hosting a Pasta Dinner with a Dessert & Silent Auction! See you all Friday Night!
Young Adults: We've moved! Join us this Tuesday as we kick off 2023 in the chapel/fellowship hall. This week we will share a Spaghetti dinner and kickoff a Dunamis teaching. What's Dunamis? (Trevor's Bread and Butter!) Dunamis is learning about the Holy Spirit and partnering with Him. Come on out, and don't forget your $5.00 for dinner!
Maranatha Seniors: Our first meeting of the year will be this Thurs, Jan. 12th @ 1:30pm. We have a guest speaker from Gleaner’s Food Bank. Susanne Quinlan will share the challenges and satisfactions of running a food bank. Donations of canned goods and pastas would be greatly appreciated. Coffee and goodies will follow. Hope to see you there!
Monthly Prayer Meeting: Join us in praying for the city, area churches, local ministries, the Neighbourlink launch and more, every second Thursday of the month, starting this Thurs, Jan. 12 @ 7pm in the Chapel. We desire to see God strengthen our vision, unity, and purpose as one Body, and to empower all those who are carrying out the work of Christ in this region, so if that stirs your heart, please come out and join us. Job Opportunity: The Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre is accepting applications for the position of Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This is a part-time position for 2 days a week totaling 14 hours a week. Experience with social media and email marketing is preferred. Applicants should have a working knowledge of the following programs: Canva, Photoshop, Mailchimp. Applications will be received until Feb. 21st, 2023. Classis Quinte Job Opportunity: is seeking a Stated Clerk; the position is available immediately; the start date is flexible. Each Classis Clerk attends three classis meetings per year as well as three interim committee meetings to record the minutes and complete follow-up tasks. The duties involve tasks such as working with the Classis Ministries Committee to prepare the agendas for meetings as well as handling the correspondence and administrative duties of the classis. Prayers that Heal the Heart Course: If you or someone you know struggles with fear, anger, nagging doubt, insecurity, or is plagued by negative thoughts and feelings, we are offering a video course by Mark Virkler that teaches seven Spirit-led prayers to help us receive freedom and restoration, as well as learn to minister healing to others. The teaching is very powerful, user-friendly and practical—and for everyone! It will run on Thursday evenings, starting Jan. 19th at 7:00pm in the Chapel. Special GriefShare Event: Maranatha Church will be hosting a special 2 hour GriefShare seminar called Loss of a Spouse on Sat, Jan. 28th, 2023 from 2 - 4pm. If you or someone you know is grieving the death of a spouse you are welcome to attend or encourage someone else to attend. A special guide book will further help you through your journey of grief. The next regular Griefshare sessions will start as follows: Morning group starting Feb. 6th from 10am - 12pm. Evening group starting Thursday's Feb. 16th from 7 - 9pm.
