Leo Pot, son and grandson of Ava and Shannon Pot, was admitted to BGH because of respiratory problems. It became serious enough that he was airlifted to Kingston General Hospital. He is now back at BGH. It was hoped he could return home by the end of this weekend. Please keep the Pot family in your prayers.

Prayers for Advent: A prayer guide for each Sunday of Advent is in your mailbox this morning to focus us in prayer over these next weeks as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Christ's birth. Let's join together in reflecting on our FAITH and the HOPE, LOVE, JOY and PEACE that is ours in Jesus as we invite Him to go deeper! Additional copies are available at the Information Desk and on the church website.
Junior High: What has been the most valuable gift you've ever received? As Christmas is approaching we will be looking at the story of Jesus' birth and the importance of making room for Him. Come join us as we have fun and get challenged in our relationships with God. See you there! Cookie orders are being finished up and will be ready shortly! Stay tuned in for those phone calls!
Senior High: Come on out on Friday for a night of games, worship, and teaching from 7-9pm! Also, mark your calendars for Dec. 16th. We will be hosting an event for all Quinte Area youth groups. The cost is $5. We will have a speaker, live music, dinner, and games. Dinner starts at 6pm. The night ends around 9:30pm.
Sr. High Volunteers & Bakers Needed: If you can help the Senior High group either by providing food for their upcoming city-wide youth event on Dec. 16th, or if you are interested in investing in youth by volunteering, reach out to James Stickland. We will be saying goodbye to 2 or 3 volunteers starting in January, and we’d love to say hello to you and at least two others!
Young Adults: Come join us this Tuesday in the youth hall as we wrap up our Gospel Love study! Bring $5 for dinner at 6:30pm and join us for our teaching at 7pm. We hope to see you there!
Christmas Children’s Choir: We are looking for kids aged 8-12 who are interested in singing on stage as a group for our Christmas Eve Service. If your child(ren) is/are interested, please contact Adam @ adam@maranatha-church.com.
Christmas Gift Cards: Every year Benevolence helps many who are struggling financially by giving them grocery gift cards for Christmas. They are from our church community and those who are referred to us through a connection in the church. If you would like to help by donating to this cause, please fill out the bulletin insert. Cheques should be made out to Maranatha but marked as benevolence gift cards. Forms must be filled and returned by Sunday, Dec. 25th.
The Road to Bethlehem is an interactive walking tour of the Christmas story, held at Quinte Alliance Church this Friday, Dec. 2nd & 3rd @ 6:30-8:30pm. If you are interested in drama and would like to help out as a guide or in the cast, or help with parking on either of those nights, please contact brad@quintealliancechurch.ca.
Maranatha Sings: today @ 2pm in the Chapel. We will be singing familiar hymns and everyone is invited to join us!
The Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre is excited to share a Matching Gift Campaign. The campaign will run until Friday, Dec. 30th. Every donation up to $10, 000 will be doubled. The funds raised will go towards supporting all the programs and services at the Centre. Job Opportunity: The Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre is accepting applications for the position of Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This is a part-time position for 2 days a week equaling 14hrs a week. This position could include some remote work. Responsibilities include website maintenance, posting on social media platforms, creating promotional and marketing material, engaging with online users, and some client care. Experience with social media and email marketing is preferred. Applicants should have a working knowledge of the following programs: Canva, Photoshop, and MailChimp. Applications will be received until Thurs, Dec. 15th. Interested applicants are encouraged to send their resumes and cover letter to Heather Tapp, Executive Director at director@bpfcc.ca.
Christmas Concert: On Dec. 15th, contemporary Christian artists, THE COLOR and Brooke Nicholls will be performing here at Maranatha at 7pm. Tickets are $15 in advance, $10 for groups of 5 or more, $20 at the door or $40 for the VIP experience. Tickets will be available at the info desk, online at https://thecoloronline.com, or in the office, Tues-Fri, 9am-5pm. The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign: Every Christmas The Salvation Army places their kettle bells around the community to help raise funds to support their local ministries. Until Sat, Dec. 24th, there will be 15 Christmas Kettles in 13 different locations - all of which will need volunteers. Volunteer shifts are 2 hours each - volunteers stand (or sit) near the Christmas Kettle, greet those passing by, thank donors and wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Praise Hymn & Worship Ensemble presents “The Gift”. Join us @ 7:30pm this Friday, Dec. 2nd at Eastside Community Baptist Church. A Christmas concert in spoken words and music. Free admission. A free will offering will be taken for Quinte Alliance Mission & Outreach.

Congregational Meeting: The Congregation is invited to join the Council and Staff of Maranatha Church for our annual Congregational Meeting on Wed, Dec. 7th, at 7pm. There are information packages in your mailboxes with the agenda, the 2021 budget and the proposed 2023 budget, as well as the minutes from last year's meeting. Staff and Council will be providing updates on the past year, and we look forward to the upcoming year as we continue to "Join the Journey" and walk in faith with the Holy Spirit." Materials for the meeting are in mailboxes and at the info desk.
Diaper Drive: On Wed, Nov. 30th from 9:30am—6pm, bring your donation of newborn to size 6 Pampers or Huggies, or a monetary donation to the CDC-Quinte at 65 Station St, Belleville and help us fill a dump truck. For more information, check out our bulletin board in the foyer.
Take the Growing Young Survey: Links to the survey have been sent out via email. You can also use the QR code in the printed bulletin to reach the survey. This morning, people will be in the foyer if you need technical assistance to take the survey. We are eager to hear from everyone in the congregation so we can assess how well we understand our Young Adults and if we are creating an atmosphere where they can grow and thrive. Christmas Craft Workshops: Join us for fellowship and creativity! Create a project for yourself or to give as a gift, all while supporting the Maranatha Youth Program. Pre-registration is required and $10 from each registration goes to the Maranatha Youth. Wed, Dec. 14th from 6:30—8:30pm is a workshop to make a customized door mat. Choose your own design in advance and learn how to make it in class. On Wed, Dec. 21st from 6:30—8:30pm, choose between a set of ornaments or a decorative cutting board. This class is suitable for children to attend with an adult. There are many design options to choose from! Both classes include all the materials and instruction.
