Day of Prayer:
Please join us for a Day of Prayer on Wed, Sept. 20 to prayerfully prepare ourselves for all the Lord wants to do in the coming harvest. The prayer focus is "Get Ready" (Isa. 54:2-3) and there will be one-hour prayer sessions in the Chapel at 7am, 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, with times for personal reflection and worship in between. The day will culminate with an evening prayer gathering at 7pm where council invites the congregation to come and pray through the building. Growing the Church in the Power of the Spirit: LEADERSHIP RETREAT.
Friday, October 13th: 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
& Saturday, October 14th: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm @ Maranatha Church
Suggested $10 donation for lunch.
We hope you will mark your calendars for the leadership retreat planned for October 13-14, 2023. Rev Dr. James Kearny of Presbyterian Reformed Ministries International (PRMI) will be leading us in a seminar called Growing the Church in the Power of the Spirit—the Basics. The seminar will explore how we can be personally be empowered by the Spirit, and how, together, we can cooperate with the Holy Spirit in leading the church.
James earned a BA in American History from Yale University, a BFA, Cum Laude, in Acting from Cornish College of the Arts and a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. He and his wife live in Seattle and have four grown sons—a pastor, a sports writer, a film maker and a sound engineer. He writes: “I discovered PRMI in Seattle as I struggled to further God’s Kingdom as a pastor in a highly secular, highly spiritual neighborhood. PRMI gave me the tools to bring new life to damaged souls through healing and deliverance. Gradually, my life and ministry began to feel more like the Book of Acts.”
